"Shoot the Chef"
On Tuesday July 13, dr. Shyam Patiar (Colleg Llandrillo, Wales) will present Shoot the Chef, a new virtual educational environment designed for those schools involved in culinary arts. Visiting www.shootthechef.com, you will find a wide range of culinary training videos and other digital materials, all linked to a European competence grid. Hospitality schools from around the world participate in Shoot the Chef.
On behalf of the Shoot the Chef team, Dr. Patiar will host a workshop during the conference to introduce this exciting platform. We look forward welcoming many more participating schools from around the world to the Shoot the Chef platform. During the workshop, interested schools can subscribe for free until the end of 2010 and have a chance to win a free video camera.
“Shoot the Chef is like You Tube for hospitality schools: Chef instructors can upload their own class materials and broadcast this to their students and the entire Shoot the Chef audience from other schools. A great way to learn from each other.”
Shoot the chef never stops cooking... As internet never sleeps, the videos and learning materials are available 24/7, 365 days per year. Hospitality students may also use the platform for self study at home.
Renowned hospitality schools from around Europe have initiated Shoot the Chef, to include Hotelschool Bad Gleichenberg (Austria), Hotelschool Koksijde (Belgium), the HRC Culinary Academy (Bulgaria) Vocational college for Catering and Tourism Maribor (Slovenia), Coleg Llandrillo (Wales) and training & career development company HRC International (Netherlands).
